  1. Loved 2nd and 3rd Sons “Kings of Cardenas Series” luv..luv this excellent holiday reading for a handicap senior citizen. Cannot wait for Gypsy Rose. Will have to satisfy myself with your 2.5 suggestion Warrier Ladies which I just purchased for my nook reader. Will keep my eye out to purchase more of this series at Barnes & Noble. Thank you so much for your brilliant talent. So happy I found this site as I am not on facebook or twitter but wanted to thank you for your wonderful stories….at age 73 I am still a romantic at heart.

    1. Hi Josie!
I am so happy to have heard from you! I am hard at work on Gypsy Rose as we speak and I hope to have it out very soon. I’m glad to hear you’ve enjoyed the books and that you will read the Lady Knights. That particular book means a lot to me and I think you will enjoy it as much as the first two.

      1. Just just finished reading the third son and I enjoyed it tremendously. You have a way with words. I just wanted to say you have a new lifelong fan in me. Thank you for the great read.

      2. Soooooooooo enjoyed COMPLETE Kings of Cardenas series…didn’t want it to end…when will Sons of Cardenas be released? Can’t wait!!!

        1. Hi there!
I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the series. I haven’t begun work yet on the first book … I fell behind in my writing schedule last year and have been working to catch up. I hope to have book 1 ready early next year.

  2. I loved reading The Kings of Cardenas series, but I am mad that Gypsy Rose is not on the nook. I am now reading the Lady Knights of Barony. They truly deserved there own individual story. I did notice that you did not give Nell her story. Maybe one in the future right. I love romance but have not always been a fan of historical, but I found that I could not put it down. Please email me and let me know if Gypsy Rose will ever go on the nook. Thanks again for providing such great reads.

    1. Sharlene,
I am glad you enjoy the KOC series! It’s always nice to hear from a fan. Nell’s story is told in a small arc through all three books and ends with her engagement ball during Hanako’s story. While there will be another glimpse of the Lady Knights on the next book, their chapters are closed. You will get a peak at Nell and Simon in wedded bliss, but writing her separate story was never part of my plans. She has always been a smaller player in the story of the lady knights, though I do think she’s important. I did want her to find her own happy ending, and she has, in taking Simon for her husband.

The reason you don’t see Gypsy Rose on Nook, is because it isn’t available anywhere yet. It has not yet been released, but I am hoping to have it out by the end of next month. It’s later than I anticipated, but I feel the story will be all the better for the time it’s taken me to write it.

      Thanks for reading!

  3. The Lady Knights of Barony, loved this book soooooooo much!!!!!. Did not want it to end. Would love to read more about these remarkable women and their men. You did an wonderful job on this book. And I would love to find out what happens to Dorian Blake when he returns to Barony after finding out about his half brother who would take over all of his property that he worked so hard for.

    1. Hi Francine!
I am so glad you enjoyed the Lady Knights! Their story is very special to me.
Never fear, Dorian Blake is making another appearance in the next book in the series.
He’s more dastardley than ever! :)

  4. Wow, I think this the fastest I have read a series in a very long time, and it all started with one Amazon freebie lol. Okay, so now that I absorbed Gypsy Rose in less than 24 hours…and you left me stunned in the Epologue…when is The Gypsy coming out?? Please do not say next year….

    1. Dawn,
Wow, you read fast! I remember when I used to have time to read like that. Those were the days … As far as The Gypsy goes, you’ll be happy to know I don’t intend to make you wait until next year. The book will be out by Christmas. I am very excited to be ending the series with this book. I think you will all enjoy it.

  5. Read and enjoyed your ebook Cardenas and Barony series and although Gypsy Rose is available in paperback, it is not on an e book basis. It’s Jan 14, 2014 and wondered why it still isn’t available. Thanks

  6. I read your book ‘the third son’. Its a beautifully written book, well done. I cant wait to read the second son, you are really talented

  7. I absolutely love this book Chained! I’ve read it 3 times and still can’t put it down. I can’t wait for book 2, I know it will be just as good as the first. I mostly read interracial books since I’m from an interracial back ground. My mother is black and my father is white, it’s sad that this type of love still isn’t really excepted where I’m from. Once again thanks for your wonderful book, looking forward for the next book.

    1. Hi Estalla! I am so touched to read your comment. Thank you so much. I am glad this book resonated with you. I’m also sorry to hear about the scorn your parents may have encountered because of their interracial relationship. Unfortunately, even in this day and age there are people who are against such relationships but I think they are beautiful. Thanks for stopping by!

  8. Just finished the 3rd son couldn’t put it down, finished it in an day. It was such a beautiful story. Can’t wait to read the 2nd son where can I find it.

    1. Hi there! Thanks for reading, I’m glad you enjoyed The Guardians. If I’m not mistaken, you should be able to shop for my other books via Amazon. I believe I read somewhere that you should be able to access Amazon.com from Kenya.

  10. When will the final book “Freed” of the Chained Trilogy be released? Book 1 and 2 were great!
I’ve read the novellas: The Dalerian, War Bride and The Heir. They’re good – but it’s time for the final.

    1. Hello,
Freed does not have a release date just yet because it isn’t finished. The Heir only just released last month, as I’ve fallen behind a bit in my writing schedule. I’m working to get Freed finished and released as soon as possible.
      Thanks for reading.

  11. I’ve been an avid reader all my life, but this is the first time I’ve taken the time to write to an author. I had to tell you how much I enjoyed reading your books: Bound, Chained, The Delarian, War Bride , and Heir. I read all of them on my nook. When l went to order “Freed” it did not show up. Please, HELP! I have to read the last book of this outstanding trilogy.

    1. Hi there, I’m so glad to hear you’ve enjoyed the series. The reason you can’t find Freed is because it hasn’t been released yet. I fell behind in my writing/publishing schedule last year and am scrambling to catch up. The Heir only just released last month. Rest assured, I am working hard to get it finished for you guys.

    1. Hi Linda,
I’m sorry to report that the Sons of Cardenas books aren’t out yet. I had planned for them to begin rolling out in 2015 but some personal set backs delayed my writing schedule. But I plan to have the first one out by the end of this year.
Thanks for reading, I’m glad that you have a way to pass the time while recovering from surgery. I do have many other books, including some more historical romance if you’re interested in checking those out.

    1. Hi Susan,
Sons of Cardenas will officially release in 2018 … I’ve got the first two books, at least, planned to release, as well as The Queen Diaries. If you sign up for my newsletter by clicking the ‘e-newsletter’ at the top of my site, you’ll receive word when they drop!

  15. Hi Elise, I have read the Chained Trilogy with the inset trilogy included (Chained, Bound, The Daleraian, War Bride, The Heir, Freed) I truly enjoyed your rich storytelling of the lands of Alemere. I had started with the Guardian Series which made me want to read more of your works. I recommend to anyone who reads the Chained trilogy to read all six stories as I’ve listed them you really will not be disappointed. I couldn’t hardly put them down. I average 3-5 books a week reading electronically and in print at the same time. After I had read the Guardians series in a week I had to let my friends who read mostly by download books to read them. I look forward to reading more of your works. Thank you for the great storytelling.

    1. Hi there!
So glad to hear from you. Thanks so much for reading and sharing my books with your friends. I’m elated to hear you’ve enjoyed my work. The Chained books are so special to me!
